ASOPEP is an association of growers in Planadas, Tolima committed to quality whilst minimising  environmental damage due to coffee production. The association is made up of 175 coffee farming families.

This microlot is 100% Caturra, a variety that originated in the Minas Gerais region of Brazil. It is a natural mutation of Red Bourbon, it produces more coffee and is more resistant to plant diseases. The coffee was carefully hand-picked in order to use only the ripest cherries and then hand sorted to remove any defects. It is then sun-dried on raised beds under temperature controlled conditions until the ideal moisture content is achieved.
